The Strange Encounters With Aquatic Humanoids

From the dawn of civilization, humans have been confronted with mysterious findings from all around the world, ranging from humanoids to UFOs. However, what really confused the U.S. Army was the sightings of aquatic humanoids. This is one aspect that has been left unexplored by the researchers, and yet it is one of the most exciting and intriguing sightings.

Aquatic Humanoid

Military officers are generally trained for almost anything and everything. However, there are still certain areas that are new even to highly trained officers. One such situation is what those military officers uncovered beneath the waves of water.

Renowned researcher, Linda Houlton Howe, published a report in which she stated that back in 1968, an extremely odd encounter terrified the personnel of the U.S Army. A former U.S. Army Specialist, a military policeman who at the time had been stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco, California, came across an aquatic humanoid at Fort Baker in Marin County, California.

The witness has referred to himself as’ David ‘and stated that at the time of the sighting, he was on a patrol of Fort Baker at approximately 1 AM in the morning, not far from the main installation and only about 20 feet from the water’s edge of San Francisco Bay. He was accompanied by one of his colleagues, and during the patrol, they suddenly noticed a fleeting movement in the dark and slowed the vehicle, believing it to be a trespasser.

Though they were right, however, it was no ordinary trespasser but a humanoid. The witness stated that:

“When I applied the brakes, it lit that thing up. And it was a humanoid form. The only way I can describe it is if you saw the movie, The Creature from the Black Lagoon. It was very, very close to that. Very close. The head was a little bit smaller, but the overall form of it was very close to that creature. And it came out of the water and it stood on the road. And when I put the brakes on, I could see it clearly. And my partner turned around, and he saw it.”

“It was a humanoid form, but what I could make out of the detail of it, it looked like it wasn’t flesh. I could look at it, it kind of looked like, well, it looked like some kind of a lizard skin or something like that. That’s what it looked like. But it was a little smoother than that. The color of it was kind of a greenish-brown, dark greenish-brown. And it had broad shoulders, so it looked very healthy. It looked very strong and healthy because it was tall. I would guess that it was about nine feet. It’s kind of hard to judge, but definitely not under seven feet. I’d say it was about nine feet tall.

“And as we looked at it, the creature stood there for maybe five seconds or at the most ten seconds, and it took off. I could see it just run, but it did run not back into the water, but towards the cliff that was there. There was a sheer cliff there that it ran against and disappeared! We were both a little shaken, to be honest with you. So, my partner, we both saw this thing, and we saw it run into the cliff. There’s nothing but a cliff there. I can’t imagine anybody being able to climb that cliff. It was just like a wall.”

The Eye witness.

One more account that came into light belonging to the same time period involving military personnel has been researched by Scott Corrales at the site Inexplicata. The original reports came from a military man stationed at a beach on the Caribbean island of Antigua in 1969.

The account of event began with the friends hanging out at Mamora Bay. The friends were enjoying fishing. As the sun went down, the military personnel spotted a group of people enjoying bonfires on the beach, however that particular group was engaged in some mysterious ritual, creating an inexplicable symbol, and were also spotted sacrificing an animal. However, the most interesting aspect is that the eyewitnesses spotted something stirring inside the waves. The witness further stated that:

Aquatic Humanoid

“We suddenly saw someone come out of the water. We were speechless. It wasn’t a skin diver. It was a person, but a lot taller. Standing over six feet tall, he walked slowly and surely toward the men in the circle.”

Military Personnel, an eye witness.

What the military men saw inside was described as a mysterious figure with an angular, tapered head, webbed hands and feet, and a row of bony protrusions going down its scaly back. While the group was performing the ritual, the creature approached them.

One of the group members walked up to the creature holding a bowl carrying the blood of the animal they sacrificed, and the creature accepted the offering. Once the aquatic humanoid was done consuming the drink, it headed back towards the water and disappeared into the darkness. The military personnel freaked out after what they witnessed.

The third encounter involving the aquatic humanoids occurred at Russia’s Lake Baikal in 1982. Navy divers who were participating in a training exercise in the lake reported seeing unidentified creatures that resembled humans swimming about at a depth of around 164 feet. The enormous humanoids were said to have a height of around 10 feet and to be clad in some kind of skintight silver suit with a circular helmet on their heads.

They were also said to be carrying something in their hands. When the divers tried to pursue the creatures in order to catch one of them, the creatures fought back, and as a result, three of the Russian divers are said to have died as a result of their pursuit of the creatures. Four other divers were seriously injured after being propelled from the depths by a powerful and mysterious force, causing massive decompression injuries.

Surprisingly, this is not the only waterbody in Russia that is allegedly home to aquatic humanoids. A number of sightings have been reported around such remote water bodies. In the very same year, a training exercise of reconnaissance divers went on at Issyk Kul Lake, a frigid, deep water lake in the Transiliysk Ala Tau area.

Major-General V. Demyanko, chief of the Military Diver Service of the Engineer Forces of the Soviet Ministry of Defense, allegedly forewarned this expedition of the events that transpired at Lake Baikal. In 1996, while scuba diving in the Black Sea to hunt sharks, a guy named B. Borovikov reportedly saw such huge aquatic humanoids.

He said that while scuba diving in the Anapa region at a depth of around 8 meters, he saw a group of enormous humanoid monsters approximately 3 meters in length rising from below. They were reported as having a milky white complexion, humanoid features, and fish-like tails.

The thing in front of Borovikov apparently paused to gaze with bulging, frog-like eyes, while another passed while gesturing with a hand made of webbing. The whole bunch advanced until they were unnervingly near, then abruptly fled into the darkness. Russia’s USO Secrets: Unidentified Submersible Objects in Russian and International Waters is a book written by UFOlogists Paul Stonehill and Philip Mantle that examines these stories and others in detail.

Well are these reports just folklores or do these creatures really exist? What is your take on it, let us know in the comment section.
